Après la ville de Marioupol, sur la mer d’Azov et sa résistance qualifiée d’héroïque, qui représentait un objectif stratégique, dans ce conflit et que l’Ukraine et ses alliés occidentaux juraient de défendre jusqu’au « dernier ukrainien », c’est au tour de la ville de Bakhmout de tomber à son tour, après plusieurs mois de combats acharnés des deux côtés ! Tour à tour, la propagande occidentale nous répétait, sur tous les médias, que cette ville était stratégique et revêtait un caractère symbolique, à plus d’un titre et que les ukrainiens ne devaient pas abandonner. Certes, sa prise a été laborieuse et a couté très cher en personnel, des deux côtés et en particulier pour le groupe paramilitaire russe Wagner, commandé par Evguéni Prigogine. Dès lors, les médias occidentaux changent de fusil d’épaule et considèrent que finalement cette ville n’est pas aussi stratégique que cela et que sa prise par la Russie n’est pas une victoire mais constitue un simple retrait stratégique en ordre pour « fixer » les troupes russes dans un piège qui se refermera sur eux, lors de la contre-offensive, si souvent annoncée mais pas encore effectuée !
