La sélection algérienne de football a maintenu sa 43e place au classement mondial de la FIFA pour le mois d’avril, tel qu’annoncé par l’instance internationale lors de sa publication officielle. Sous la tutelle de son nouvel entraîneur, le Bosnien Vladimir Petkovic, l’équipe nationale a consolidé sa position grâce à ses performances lors du Tournoi FIFA Series-2024, qui s’est tenu sur le sol algérien.
Lors de ce tournoi, l’Algérie a enregistré une victoire notable contre la Bolivie, avec un score final de 3-2, ainsi qu’un match nul contre l’Afrique du Sud, avec un résultat final de 3-3. Ces résultats ont contribué au maintien de la position de l’Algérie dans le classement mondial, ainsi qu’à son classement africain où elle conserve la 7e place.
Au sommet du classement mondial, les Diables Rouges se hissent à la 3e place, gagnant ainsi une position par rapport au classement précédent. En tête du classement, l’Argentine, championne du monde, maintient sa position de leader, suivie de près par la France et l’Angleterre, respectivement à la 4e place.
Le Brésil conserve sa 5e place, suivi du Portugal à la 6e place, des Pays-Bas à la 7e place, de l’Espagne à la 8e place, de l’Italie à la 9e place, et de la Croatie qui clôt le top 10 du classement. Ces positions témoignent de la compétitivité continue au niveau mondial dans le domaine du football, avec des équipes cherchant constamment à s’améliorer pour atteindre les sommets du classement FIFA.
