L’Inde espère que le nouveau premier ministre pakistanais, Shehbaz Sharif, enclenchera un dégel diplomatique entre les deux rivaux dotés de l’arme nucléaire, après des années de tensions, selon les analystes. Elu lundi 12 avril, M. Sharif, réputé pragmatique et favorable aux affaires, a face à lui plusieurs défis de taille, dont les épineuses relations avec le voisin indien, issu comme son pays de la partition de l’Empire britannique des Indes en 1947, et contre lequel le Pakistan à livré Trois guerre depuis.
