De sources proches de la direction de cellule de communication de la wilaya d’Oran l’ont nous informe que l’hôpital de Haï Nedjma (ex-Chetaïbou) de 240 lits, dédié exclusivement à la prise en charge des malades de la pandémie, est saturé depuis plus d’une semaine, d’autres établissements, à l’image de celui du Dr Medjebeur-Tami, d’Aïn El Turck, sont au bord de l’asphyxie. Cet établissement qui a réservé une quinzaine de lits, dont ceux destinés aux malades qui ont des difficultés respiratoires, pour lutter contre la pandémie, n’en peut plus, recevant depuis plus d’une semaine, malade sur malade souffrant du variant delta. Selon les responsables de cet important établissement de la corniche oranaise, ce variant, au demeurant très dangereux, gagne substantiellement du terrain, notamment avec l’ouverture de la saison estivale. Pris à la gorge, les responsables de ce service se voient contraints d’ouvrir incessamment deux autres services, de pneumologie et de gastro-entérologie, au premier étage, pour faire face à la pandémie qui lamine tout sur son chemin. A Noter que comme pour tout le reste du pays, le nombre de cas de coronavirus, avec ses différents variants, a augmenté plaçant la wilaya d’Oran parmi les plus touchées. Les Oranais ne respectent pas souvent les mesures barrières dont celles du port de la bavette et de la distanciation sociale. Ceci se remarque notamment dans les marchés, dont celui à haute fréquentation de Mdina Djedida, dans les lieux publics comme les cafés et les bars ainsi que depuis le 1er juillet, date de l’ouverture officielle de la saison estivale, et sur les plages. Il en est même des citoyens qui croient encore que la pandémie n’est qu’une pure invention de l’homme pour restreindre les libertés de ses congénères. Et alors que trois mosquées viennent d’être dédiées à la vaccination contre la Covid-19, certains croyants continuent de soutenir mordicus que la vie et la mort étant entre les mains de Dieu, il n’aurait pas lieu de s’inquiéter outre mesure, jugeant bavette, distanciation sociale et vaccination comme des «innovations illicites». Heureusement que pour équilibrer, il existe encore des gens raisonnables qui ont recours à la vaccination. Pour preuve, les nouveaux chapiteaux ouverts à Mdina Djedida sont pris d’assaut par les Oranais. Malheureusement, avec seulement 45.000 doses reçues, soit quelque 90.000 personnes à vacciner, les offres restent très limitées pour la capitale de l’Ouest. A noter que depuis février dernier, seulement 61.000 Oranais ont reçu leurs doses de vaccin, soit très peu pour prétendre lutter contre la propagation de la pandémie.
