Après avoir progressé de 8,5% en décembre 2021 par rapport au même mois de 2020, les prix à la consommation ont bondi de 9% au mois de janvier dernier par rapport au même mois de l’année 2021.
L’évolution des deux indicateurs renseigne d’une accélération sans précédent des prix dans un contexte de forte inflation mondiale.
La guerre en Ukraine a provoqué un choc des prix, une tension sur les produis de base ainsi que des inquiétudes grandissantes sur l’approvisionnement mondial. L’inflation a ainsi accéléré lus que prévu sur un an, favorisée essentiellement par des variations haussières constatées sur les courbes des biens alimentaires industriels, selon les données actualisées publiées par l’Office national des statistiques (ONS).
